Olinda Elementary is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our Eagles who recently competed in the Orange County Department of Education's Elementary Science Olympiad. This exciting academic competition encourages students to explore science, engineering, and problem-solving through a variety of hands-on events that challenge participants to apply their knowledge, think critically, and work collaboratively.
Throughout the 3rd trimester, our students dedicated countless hours to preparing for this rigorous competition. From studying scientific concepts and engineering principles to practicing teamwork and problem-solving strategies, these students demonstrated tremendous commitment, perseverance, and enthusiasm for learning.
Competing against schools from across Orange County, both of Olinda's teams delivered outstanding performances and earned Silver Medal honors. This achievement reflects not only the students' hard work and determination, but also their ability to apply scientific thinking in challenging, real-world situations.
Congratulations to Team A40 members Ellie, Oliver, Revaah, Arie, Ethan, Jay, Keira, Nathan, Riverton, Isaiah, Elijah, Leia, and Charlie. Congratulations also to Team A41 members Lillian, Kaylee, Jaden, Christopher, Logan, Nathan, Auggie, Paige, Hazel, Jenny, Nathan, Mateo, and Mason.
We are incredibly proud of these students for representing Olinda Elementary with excellence. Their curiosity, dedication, and teamwork embody what it means to be an Eagle, and we congratulate them on this impressive accomplishment. Thank you as well to our coaches, families, and community members who supported our students throughout their Science Olympiad journey.
Way to SOAR, Eagles!
